[ he feels like most humans would be more resentful, but laudna is quite unique. it's one of the many things he likes about her. still, iwatooshi has to wonder what could have happened that they'd just leave her there, but asking feels disrespectful, even with her cavalier attitude.

Is a cleric a sort of sage? Gale-dono suggested my master may be one, earlier this week, but I've never heard of them bringing the dead back to life, only giving life to spirits like me.

A cleric is one who is chosen by a deity. They're given some special abilities - often including healing and resurrection magic. You can bring someone back from the beyond if the circumstances are right and if a god grants a special boon to one of their favorites. It's costly, and rare.

We can ask the others, to be certain.

Then I can understand why Gale-dono would think so, with my master's powers. [ hmmmm. ] Do you think his body would be alright to wait until he can return home to his cleric? We are supposed to be here for some time, they said.

The longer one waits, the most powerful the cleric must be. But the truly skilled ones can wait as long as a year, I think.
