Based on what the overseers have said so far, yes.

...I want to believe there's another way to handle it, but I wouldn't know where to even begin. My only expertise is fighting my masters' enemies and collecting their swords.

Well... They said there wouldn't be a trial if someone was killed publicly. But that's worthless unless we can confirm they did something, like Vin did with Nona.

And even if we tried to confront anyone on that list, it's impossible to get anywhere without the rest of the evidence.

And baseless accusations will only lead to more death. We’ve already lost too many as it is, and we still have more to come if this cult is to keep doing their rituals.

It’s a shame that the overseers haven’t yet found a way to save those affected, but even if they did... we’d need to know who it was to even try it. I wonder if we would have given ourselves that chance if we had found them.

I don't think anyone is eager to kill, though. So if they found a way, I think we would give them that chance. But as long as there isn't a clear way to save them, then... those of us who are more decisive about these things will do what they think they have to do to protect us.

I can't hate them for it if their hearts are in the right place.

I don't hate them for it, no. As far as we know now, it's the only thing to be done. Killing the afflicted is a way of protecting ourselves.

It only makes it difficult to even try to find another way.
