Hmm. I've never heard them speak of traveling through time themselves, but it makes sense that they would be, too. They have the power to send us through time, after all.
Our master decides on the era, year, and month, and use their magic to send us on our missions. I'm not a sage, so I can't explain it exactly. But I've been to a few different eras by now, on expeditions and missions.
My master and their allies have enemies that are just as capable of traversing time as any of us. They're called the History Retrograde Army. We don't fully understand their ultimate goal, but what we do know is that they target important events or figures to change the course of history.
Our mission is to defeat them, and protect the rightful history of Japan.
...I don't know for sure. It's possible, but the majority of their forces are spirits like me and my comrades, so perhaps it doesn't matter to their masters.
