You don't need me on emergency dial for that... I haven't exactly had trouble running into any of you even with the great space. And I do have my own apartment room otherwise.
[ Not gonna lie it took me a long time to warm up to non-Asian teas. It's me, I'm the old men. ]
We can try a bit of both. Always good to broaden horizons.
[ They can go to TEA HOUSE. One respite in the city below the sea: a few rooms of ecology stolen from the land above. A Tea Garden is lush with plants, small trees, and an abundance of flowers. Iron tables and chairs are set up, offering a place for food, drink, and gossip, or even love. The tea garden flows straight into a Grotto where a small waterfall spills into a waist-deep pool of perpetually circulated, filtered water.
What do you mean offering a place for love. Anyway. He's picking up a nice tin and looking it over. ]
Have a preference? Straight, with milk? [ Abominable sentence for those who only know traditional Asian teas. ] Sweeter?
Yes. Straight tea is also nice, but black tea is pretty good with a bit of milk with sugar. It's like a softer version of a coffee, although I hear that depending on the strain, the caffeine can be pretty equal.
Black coffee can be an acquired taste. Considered an adult drink by some although they start drinking it pretty young in other nations. Tea is a bit easier, if you ask me...
Mm. Imanotsurugi is my partner - the protective sword of my former master's lord. We've fought through many battles together, long before we were ever summoned like this.
[ He has to take a moment to comprehend what that means, but he thinks he gets it. The TKRB equivalent of being rl friends before you get into online shenanigans. ]
Sounds like a pleasant relationship.
[ Hmmmmm. After a moment of consideration, he will make Iwatooshi a standard London fog. Lower sweetness, but still a latte nonetheless. ]
...What is this tea? I think I'd like to bring it back for my master, if possible. They're always open to trying new things, especially if it's something we've enjoyed.
[L... ] Rondon fog, but if you think herbs might be a bit much, just the earl grey will probably do.
[ Me having to go back and fix this because London doesn't fucking exist even though it also kinda does and it's weird because Rondon is kind of a mix of the UK and France but I GUESS??? This is good enough. ]
I'm glad you can bring back something out of this that you'd consider enjoyable.

[ PLEASE. SO MANY CYOAs. ]
Care to take a look around then? Have a preference for what you'd like to see?
no subject
[ they've had that conversation before, though. ]
Ah! I was thinking that the tea garden might be nice. It's been difficult to get good tea here.
[ THEY JUST HAVE COSTCO TEA. ]

[ Me going to reopen the locations page because I missed a tea garden, THERE ARE SO MANY PLACES HERE. ]
The one in Elysium? That does sound good. The selections in the warehouse store are... fine. [ They're just fine. ] Drink it often?
no subject
[ he laughs. ]
They're fine in a pinch, but they don't have the same varieties I'm used to. [ nodding. ] Every day. I miss sharing tea with my master, sometimes.

Have any you're particularly fond of?

I've always liked green teas, and that is what we make the most around the citadel. [ pauses. ] Shincha is a treat, though.
[ once again i fooled myself into thinking i hit post. ]

[ Green tea... ]
Right, eastern teas... I think. I'm unfamiliar.
no subject
Shincha is the first tea harvested in the season. It has a much fresher taste than usual.

[ the old men are always, always drinking green. ]
I think I would like to try it your way, though.

Never tried it?

Do you prefer sweet?
no subject
Not too sweet, I think, but I wouldn't mind trying it with some sugar. Imanotsurugi may like it better that way.

A comrade-in-arms, I presume?

He likes sweeter things, sometimes.

It is. He is one of my closest friends.
[ takes a sip... he lights up in surprise. ]
I thought it might be sweeter. What an odd taste... but I don't dislike it.

Just one of a varied spread of teas enjoyed in Rondon.
