[ a curious look at the stain on his gloves, but hm. he nods. ]
I thought so, too. But they did mention the need to be careful when speaking with us. It sounded as if they were already on difficult terms with the rest.
[ more evidence that the cult did this tbh. they took gale's spells and now this. ]
The cult's leaders. Death-dono and War-dono both suggested that they were going against the wishes of the cult as a whole by not wishing for our deaths.
Ah, yes. They all expressed this wish to us at some point or another.
[ he'd even heard it repeated in one-on-one. ]
I suppose, however, it is worth noting that Death's epitaph on the board does suggest a betrayal of some sort. When I spoke to them, they mentioned a somewhat frequent habit of this.
It is good to know, but I'm struggling to understand how it fits in. Who would they have betrayed? One of the other overseers? That would mean that Aventurine-dono's fate was truly a matter of luck, would it not?
Or simply a reference to their betrayal as a group. Perhaps a warning to the others. Obey, or become a sacrifice yourself.
[ hm. ]
I'm afraid this is not normally my area of expertise ... But, ah, there was a fight, clearly, in the Refectory. Two persons appear to have smashed their way through.
Ah... That is very possible. They did say it was dangerous to speak with them in public, even when using their veil. Perhaps our "Halloween" party got too much attention.
[ we did this... ]
In the refectory? But it looked normal when I went.

Ah! Iwatooshi. Hello.
[ honestly he doensn't sound devastated as much as like. slightly distracted. perhaps a little distanced from it all. ]
I would imagine so. But strange, isn't it? One of their own overseers?

There was something blue on the refectory floor. I can't seem to figure out what it is. Normally I'd have an Identify spell ...
[ well. he's without most of his ordinary tools. ]
Who? Death and the other overseers? Or Death and these mysterious cultish leaders?
