We're all being made to think about things we'd rather not, I see. [ tch! ] But no, I meant for this ritual the cult supposedly wants us for. The monsters and abilities are a side effect of it, apparently, so this must be, too.

One of the culty guys said the magic's being weird. So probably.

Seems like a strange way to manifest magic, but it's true that I'm not too familiar with it.

Magic sort of does whatever it wants most days as is. I'm not surprised it's being a shit in a place like this.

Hm. I've never thought of it like that. My master always seemed to have strong control over their magic.

I don't know if it's different for those of you who were born with hearts and emotions, but I find that they can be... surprisingly difficult to deal with, sometimes. These marks are enough to upset some of us all on their own. Dragging that feeling out wouldn't serve any purpose.

I just think it's better to focus on the things we can change and the things we can treasure in this moment than something meant to hurt us.

Sounds like the way people should be, actually. I'm all for living in the moment. Finding the good things.

Lots of them. There's not a single person here I don't like. Each of them have got a whole story, wants, fears, everything, and it's so fucking thrilling to hear everything about them.

I feel the same. Learning about the things you've been through, the good and bad... It is nice, to hear about all the things that make you what you are, and to see how you each affect those around you. I can't help but admire every one.

I do enjoy hunting down our enemies after my former master's quest at the start of his journey. But ever since then, I've been used to protect others. My master's master, history, my friends and fellow touken danshi...

That's what large bodies like ours are best for, aren't they?
